Submission Guidelines
What to submit
We will consider clear, well-written articles about any aspect of magic tricks, performance of magic, famous magicians, instructional articles and advice to the novice magician.
Articles must be the original work of the author. We take copyright law seriously so don't even think about submitting us someone else's work or work based on someone else's work unless you legally own the copyright and can prove it.
All articles must be in english, grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. We read all submissions but we do not have time to copy edit.
Submissions must be between 500 and 750 words in length. The parameters are strict.
Articles must not include any links, although you may include your URL in your signature IF you have already established a link exchange with us.
Submissions must not contain any rich text formatting. By submitting your work you agree to it being formatted in line with our current style policy.
What NOT to submit
No Fiction. No Poetry. Nothing defammatory. Nothing libellous. Nothing racist. Nothing sexist or anti-gay. Nothing religious. Nothing political. No pornography. No photography, video or graphics. Nothing in breach of copyright. Nothing covered by something we've already published.
Legal Stuff
By submitting your article to us you are making a legal statement of your sole authorship of the submission. Any breach of copyright may be punished to the full extent of the law. You retain copyright to your work at all times and by submitting it to us grant us permission to publish it electronically at http://www.magic-tricks.ws until we, entirely at our own discretion, decide to remove it or you request it's removal by us via an email from the address which you used to submit it.
We accept no liability for safe receipt or storage of any submission: you are strongly advised to keep a copy.
We reserve the right to refuse any submission on any grounds, with or without explanation and entirely at our own discretion. We reserve the right to make editorial changes to any submission as we see fit but these will not be published without the author's permission.
You may promote your article by linking to our site but you must first submit for our approval the url at which the link is to be published. Failure to do this before placing a link will result in the immediate removal of your submission and your name will be black-listed. By submitting to us you declare your understanding that no payment or other remuneration of any kind other than publishing on our site is offered or implied and such publication in no way represents a partnersip or association between us.
How to submit your article
Please type or paste your article directly into the body of an email. Emails with attachments will be automatically deleted.
Please include your full, real name and contact details, your pseudonym if applicable, the article's title as you would like it to appear, a precise word count and the url(s) of any site blog or forum where you intend to promote your article with a link to us if your submission is successful.
Please note that if you submit to us we would like to add you to our FREE newsletter mailing list. We never share your details with any third party. We never spam you. You can unsubscribe at any time. You may receive, from time to time, updates, free tricks, special previews and other promotions relating to our site. If you DO NOT wish to be added to the list please say so clearly in your email. This in no way affects your chances of publication. Articles are judged entirely on their merit and our editorial needs at the time.
All suitable submissions will be acknowledged. If you have not heard from us after 28 days please feel free to make a polite enquiry as to the progress of your submission, including your name, the title of your piece and the original submission date.
Do not be offended by a rejection. It's not personal, it just means that what you have written was not what we needed at that time. Please make only one submission at a time. Wait for a decision before submitting other work. Do not re-submit something we've rejected.
We aopologise if this all seems pretty heavy but it's important to get these things clear for everyone's good - you'll find us personally very friendly and helpful! If you've got this far and you're still interested, please send your submission to
